So You Think You Can Dance의 프로그램 사상 최다 전화투표인 1600만여 통의 결과로 올해 우승자가 가려졌다. 이번이 세번째 보는 시즌이고 방송에 맞추어서 보는 것은 두번째인데 이전에 Sabra에 대한 포스팅을 하면서 밝혔듯이 가장 마음에 드는 시즌이다. 후보들 모두가 마음에 들었으며 그들의 몸짓을 보는 것이 정말 즐거웠는데 시즌이 종료하게 되어 아쉽지만, 성원하던 후보가 우승을 해서 기쁘기도 하다. 우리 나라 쇼도 아닌데 내가 성원한다고 무슨 의미가 있겠나만은, 이 쇼를 보면서 그동안 즐거웠으니 만족한다.
이번 시즌의 우승자인 세이브라는 댄스를 시작한지 불과 4년밖에 되지 않았는데도 기존의 쟁쟁한 후보들을 제치고 미국의 가장 선호하는 춤꾼이 되었다고 한다. 파이널 2에 들었던 대니와 세이브라는 처음에는 눈에 띄는 후보가 아니었지만 시즌이 진행되면서 훌륭하게 발전하고 변화하는 모습을 통해 최후의 자리에 서게 되었다는 것 또한 마음에 드는 드라마틱한 요소이다(비록 부분적 연출과 설정이 들어갔겠지만)
성원하던 후보가 이런 류의 프로그램에서 우승한 건 거의 처음인 것 같다. 그래서 기쁜마음에 기록포스팅. ^^-
동영상은 각 후보들에게 주어진 짧은 솔로 공연 중 Sabra의 것이다. 그 아래에 있는 것은 시즌 내내 후보들을 탈락시키고 보내면서 연주되었던 라이언 카브레라의 I'll remember you. 오늘 공연에서 마지막 대미를 장식한 노래인데 전곡을 다 들어보니 마음에 들어 덧 붙인다.
